Creative Writing Workshops

 

Having worked for over 30 years in the classroom, Andy can visit you and offer a number of workshops to students at different levels. Workshops encouraging creative writing, about crafting a complete story, writing dialogue, monologues, increasing dramatic tension and writing for emotional impact can all be offered on a half day or whole day basis. Rates on application.

Puppetry Workshops

Andy is available to come to you to run puppetry workshops that can be tailored to different age groups. Andy has led puppet making workshops for children as young as 3 - 5 and for more mature groups such as the Little Theatre Guild.

Bespoke Commissions

As a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Andy is available to write specifically to commission for your school, college, youth group, prison or theatre company on any subject of your choosing at rates agreed by the Independent Theatre Council and The WGGB. These rates are non-negotiable.



Script Development & Dramaturgy

I am available to offer one to one dramaturgical support for writers. You supply the writing and I will respond to you. I read and analyse your work and prepare a report based on the needs of the writer, aiming t help them to find the answers to improve their own work by asking a series of questions about your writing in one-to-one meetings.

Private Tuition



I am also available for hire on an hourly basis, to provide personal tuition in creative writing, or scriptwriting for the stage, radio TV or film. Please use the contact form on this site to enquire about rates per hour



Writing For the Stage Courses



I regularly run courses teaching Writing For the Stage, for adult learners. The next scheduled series of classes will take place between September and October 2025 at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe for Scunthorpe Theatres.
