Kazbah Theatre is a brand-new theatre company based in North East Lincolnshire, making theatre for young audiences. We want to entertain children and families alike with new and original work that encourages a love of stories, a love of theatre and works in conjunction with schools to create work that also supports the National Curriculum. Join Kazbah Theatre for a week of workshops (FREE OF CHARGE!) in Cleethorpes during the week of February 27th - March 3rd. We will be working with experienced professionals who will be sharing their skills and expertise as we seek new performers who will be interested in working with us as a company.
Kazbah Theatre is the brainchild of Cleethorpes-based writer and theatre maker, Andy Evans. Andy has worked professionally with Breakwater Theatre Company, Hull Truck Theatre Company, Middle Child, Slung Low, Dirty Protest and National Theatre Wales. He also worked with the cast of the BBC's Torchwood, writing a series of spoof plays that went on to be performed by the cast for their fans at conventions in the UK. Andy's play Moonlight Marionettes has had around 30 productions globally and is published by Playscripts. Inc. in the USA.
